Functional Ceramic Ball

Beyond its standard product line, KY Korea produces made-to-order ceramic balls engineered with a raw-material blend ratio and firing conditions tailored to each customer's required function. Rather than being sold as a standalone product, it is most often supplied as a functional material built into a finished product.

Typical applications include low-temperature catalytic deodorizing cartridges for refrigerators, multi-stage deodorizing filters for food waste disposers, and bedding filled with loess balls. The design changes with the application — a multi-pore structure for deodorizing use, a silver/inorganic-antibacterial blend for antibacterial use, and a loess/elvan-stone blend for far-infrared applications.

Cell Pore Balls, ORP Magnesium Balls, FIR Mineral Balls, and Magic Balls have all been developed this way, and have been applied to projects such as a desert greening project in Kuwait, a plant-cultivation test bed in Vietnam, and exclusive supply agreements with overseas water purifier manufacturers.

Toll processing is also available if the customer supplies the raw material. In that case, the customer must supply 130% of the required quantity to account for process loss and loss on ignition (LOI), and the powder must be at least 250 mesh, averaging 325 mesh.
